I am going to TOORCON this year! I just checked with my boss and he said that the company will reimburse me, and let me get my mad geek on! Toorcon is San Diego's premier security and hacker conference.
From their website:
ToorCon, now in its 9th year running, is San Diego's hacker conference bringing together the top security experts to present their new tricks of the trade and have fun in the sunny and beautiful city of San Diego. This year ToorCon's Seminars & Conference will be taking place again at the Convention Center on October 19th-21st, 2007. We will also be holding our workshops at the Emerald Plaza Westin on October 18th, 2007.
I went to TOORCON last year, and I was thoroughly impressed. They had tons of advanced hacking and network security seminars, as well as a bunch of very cool workshops.
If you want to go, advanced registration is closed, but you can register at the door. The convention itself with seminars is $120 a person for the whole weekend. If you want to go to the workshops too, that is $900.
For a little taste, here is one of the video's from last years conference, talking about an OS X Wireless Driver Exploit:
