As some of you know, I live in southern California where we pay what we call here, "Sun Tax." That means our cost of living is a little bit pricier than other places. One of the highest priced things is housing. For a small POS 2 bedroom shack that is within 5 miles of the beach, you are looking somewhere in the area of 200-300 thousand dollars. The same place in my home town of Conifer Colorado would probably only be $75-100 thousand.
Anyway, the point I am making is that housing isn't cheap here so when my wife found a nice two bedroom town home near Del-Mar to rent for a little over $1000 per month on Craig's List, we were certainly interested. My wife decided to email the owner for more information.
Of course, when things sound too good to be true, they usually are. Here is the email my wife received from the owner...IN NIGERIA!
